If you ask a South Tyrolean person which time of the year she/he eats too much, Eastern and Christmas won’t be the only two, she/he will certainly also say “the autumn!” In autumn families and friends go to traditional cellars and “Buschenschanken” for a “Toerggelen”, a traditional menu all about typical South Tyrolean meals and chestnuts 🙂
Particularly enjoyable are the “Krapfen” with jam!
I highly recommend all the food, but particularly those “Krapfen” with jam! Yum! 🙂
